This Fall we aren't just encouraging our members to invite a friend, we are adding real stakes to the game! Every friend that you invite to visit your club could result in real cash for your next club project!
How it works
Members invite a friend to visit a Rotary meeting. Clubs keep track of the number of friends who visit their club each month and report it to the District Membership Team. When the challenge concludes on Dec. 31, 2026, the numbers will be tallied up and the club with the most Friends-Per-Member will receive $1,000 from the district for your next project! The second place club will receive $500!
Any Club Can Win!
The winner will be calculated per capita. This means that no matter the size of your club, you have an equal shot of winning if you can mobilize your members to "Get your ask in gear!" Will your club be the recipient of the "Friendliest Club Award"?
Have FUN with it!
This doesn't have to be another boring initiative from the district. Have fun with it in your own club. Turn it into an internal competition of which member can invite the most friends!
Rules of the Challenge

A “friend” is defined as one individual person. A friend who visits a club a second time cannot be counted towards the total number of friends.

The winner will be calculated “per capita” based on membership as of July 1, 2026 giving all clubs an equal opportunity to win.

The Prize money will be issued from Rotary District 5680 and is to be used for club projects. Club projects can include:

Service projects including ongoing annual projects.

Scholarships

Membership initiatives (eg. membership social, media campaign, etc.)

Public Image initiatives.

* Prize money shall not be used for typical administrative expenses, payment of district or international dues, or other expenses that do not further the mission of Rotary.
